Most and only embarrassing thing is when I fell asleep on my date at the movies and jumped out of my sleep saying I want some gummie worms.

Quoting allycatt982000:

Not sure I can top that... but here goes.

So I had been chatting with a common friend for a few months before we actually decided to go out. He worked for one of the arson LE divisions and lived about an hour away. The night of our date, he got a fire call and had to leave. He left the key out for me so I could just come to the apartment and wait for him since he wasn't sure when he'd be done. I was exhausted having only slept about 4-5 hours over the weekend. So I passed out while I was waiting for him. I guess I was in a really good sleep by the time he finally arrived so when he touched my shoulder to wake me up, I screamed my head off. Think mental patient type screaming. I was so out of it from lack of sleep and unfamilar surroundings. Total turn off. Then we tried to salvage things at dinner that night, but yeah.... there was no contact again after that night.

Wow, that is a touching story. If it had been me, I would have at least told you that I know things seem a different way then they are but I'd really like to get past this because I sure do like you. And I'd have kissed you after dinner, took a stroll outside, then kissed you good night or something... I would not let you get off that easy, unless I was feeling that you did not have it for me.

Isn't it strange how first impressions can sometimes be wrong, but kill a good potential opportunity to have something nice? That is why I always consider a second date if possible.

Did you like him?

I have been in a first date several times and just was not feeling it. And it seems once you feel that way, you just want the night to be over because it gets harder and harder to hit things off. Then you do the "Trying too hard" thing and it just gets worse... I am glad to be out of that stage of my life. I used to get nervous a lot and that would happen to me.. Anymore, I just don't get that way. I am quite comfortable with myself and am not as shy as I used to be. Perhaps that is the reason why.

Thank you for sharing. I do think you beat mine... Of course, its a matter of opinion.

I was dating a woman for the first time back when I was younger. I had just gotten awake from a long trip out of state. Brushed my teeth, etc, etc, she had just gotten out of the shower. I kissed her on the cheek. Went down stairs to get breakfast. When I came back, I noticed she had a booger on the right side of her face. I did not know how to tell her... I avoided getting too close to her because I did not want it on me! Eventually, she asked me what was wrong. I got embarrased. I did not know how to tell her. Finally after a few moments of going back and forth the truth came out....

Here is what I got from her: She went to the bathroom, she came back out after washing her face and immediately said it was mine and that I put it there when I kissed her on the cheek. She said she saw it in my nose but just did not know how to tell me.

Now, who was telling the truth? I think she was rubbing her eyes / face and put it there and just did not know it. What I can say is that it was on the same side of her face that I had kissed.

Would this be a date breaker for anyone? Who would break out the 9mm?
